Land use - Psychogeography

A large poster in response to a stretch of land in East London, between Bow and Poplar.

Geotagging, photography, observational drawings, field recording, interviews.

With huge development occurring to the North from the olympic Park and the ever-visible presence of the private investment of canary Wharf in the south – this area, until recently, has remained relatively unscathed from the hyper-gentrification of the surrounding areas. With large disconnected swathes of land now in the process of being developed or being ear-marked for investment, the historical roots, traditional boundaries, existing communities and natural environment of the area are facing unprecedented pressures and changes.
